Autumn Unveiling

Remember this sign from my last post?
This is the truck that came with it.

Earlier that morning, without notice, we saw
the orange sign...standing in the sun's rays.
~

Tree trimmers were here...to do their job...
on this very windy Autumn day!
Leaves were falling peacefully,
but at a very rapid pace.

~enlarges~
~
From inside...I safely filmed...
as they made waste...of the near leafless limbs.
~

Trimming everything back...
from the electric lines...
they had two trucks...with two buckets...
but even so...it took a very long time.

~

Lunch was squash/pumpkin soup with grains
and a salad...

...it ended with chocolate cake and coffee too!

Later, after the tree trimmers' job ended...
I went out for a view...and of course
took my camera too!

They made a change...but so was Autumn.
I took a walk to the back woods edge...
where most of the trees...were changing fast.

The golden leaves you see hanging on...
belong to small Beech trees...
they most always...fall off last.

Those numerous little silver gray Beech trees...
came from bigger ones across the way.
See the large Beech with the broken limb.
we visited there once...on another day.

~enlarges~

Here's the same tree with it's summer green...

and with it's missing limb on the ground.

Remember Andrew and I were here...

and this is where...his claws were found...

and there too...this was found by me...
what it was...I have no clue...but, look close
...two white teeth...you'll see!

~enlarges~

A brown bug I found in the woods this day...
on the storage shed...where he can just stay!

"Leaf-footed Stink Bug"

Here's a fungus covered tree stump
with it's blend of moss and brown leaves...

Here's lots of those leaves blowing in the breeze!

The wind that day took a lot of leaves down...
you can view the water tower from the field
now!

I can view the clouds through the trees...
from my front porch with ease!

Sunrises and Sunsets will no longer be veiled...

Full Moons out back I will be able to see well...

~last week's "Hunters Moon"~

'Really loved the walk!
'Really loved reminiscing about earlier walks too!
And I loved the 'raining leaves' video!
All the pictures were so beautiful, I especially loved the moon! (I tried taking some the other night, but now the auto focus on my camera is broken, so all I got is a patch of bright light in a black hole!)
And I want you to come cook and bake for me!
And now I really want squash/pumpkin soup too!

Another beautiful post, Wanda. Thanks!
Love to you, Eileen

I loved your autumn walk--I'm feeling a little sad that autumn is over, but all things, including the seasons, must go on.

Another wonderful post my friend, I loved the videos and yes I remember the tress when they were full and green...ahhh but we have next spring and summer to look forward to.
I loved last week's full moon, it was so bright wasn't it...learned from Grizz it was called Hunters Moon.
Oh lunch looked delicious....
Have a great weekend, big hugs to Alivia......:-)

Hi Wanda... Finally! (I can't pull up your photos....and I MISS that....but when I get home I will.) I say "Finally" because I've tried to get to this comment section several times, and it wouldn't load. I look forward to reading your blog when I return.
In the meantime, I wanted you to know that I'm here....I can read your text (dial up here...sigh)...but I can't see your photos...and I know they are lovely...as always.
Love to you from Jackie

Lovely photos, I particularly like the one looking up through the trees to the clouds and the Hunter's Moon. Lunch looks delicious - I've never made or had pumpkin soup but a pumpkin came in my vegetable box this week so I think that is what I'll do with it.

Hasn't the moon been beautiful these past days!?

Somehow the seasons "speak" to me more this year.....change seems so stark and sudden somehow as we head into the cold silence of winter.

You've certainly stumbled across a couple of mysteries here! Are those claws or fangs?

Keep the camera rolling. I follow in fascination and admiration.

Oh! I forgot! Any chance of getting the pumpkin soup with grains recipe? It looked very comforting and tasty.

Leave it to you to find a heart-shaped opening in the trees!

Hunter's Moon? I thought November was a Beaver Moon...but I see, via Wikipedia, that each month's moon has many names.

Hi Wanda,
Your pictures of Autumn capture the feel so beautifully Wanda. Such a beautiful season even with everything getting ready to sleep for the winter!
I want to know what that bug is. We found one in our house!
Lovely feel to your post Wanda.

Gosh Wanda! Each of your Autumn pictures and others in general are wallpaper material. Never have I seen such beauty. Always in photoshopped pictures :) How peaceful, serene and happy it must make you feel. I'd love to live in a place like this. Literally in the lap of nature..Away from traffic and concrete jungles. Your pictures are so soothing :D

Another lovely walk with you, partly down memory lane...did you notice that the last photo before the moon photo, the trees frame the sky in the shape of a heart??

Delightful! I love the combination of pictures and videos. Always an enjoyable walk.

The view of the clouds from your porch - if I had a porch that is what I would love to see! Your beautiful photograph of the Hunter's Moon is rather special too. It has so far, when I've been in my garden at night, been too cloudy and heavy with rain to get anything like those wonderful views you've shared. I'm working on it!

Hi Gramma,
I wanted to point out that in the second to last picture the trees make a heart shape against the sky, but someone beat me to it :)

Love, Amanda

In your next life, Wanda, you can be a chef! That lunch looks luscious! Alivia will be happy to see the bug. Your falling leaves look like a surreal balloon launch! Your full moon is a great shot with the not-too-dark sky and the framing branches. The picture above the full moon photo is gorgeous, too! One of your hearts, Wanda, in the sky filled with pink and blue and mauve clouds! What a wonderful day! xxox

Hello Wanda, It's a blizzard of leaves at your house. I like the way that Hunter's Moon sank to just the right spot framed by your trees - a grandstand view! I'm wondering about that interesting skull - it looks prehistoric. I must tell you I've been hungry for chocolate cake for days - baked some banana bread this morning but it's not even close to chocolate...

The camera is only as good as the photographer....and that makes yours WONDERFUL!! Wow!!! What splendid pictures and videos. I would love to know the story behind the teeth and claws. :)) Beautiful, Wanda....just beautiful.

I loved the second photograph the most, with the sun just peeking through the trees. Whenever i visit your blog I get a sense of peace and well-being... We live on such a beautiful planet and we do our utmost to destroy it. If more of us would actually open up our eyes and appreciate it!

Hello Wanda

I love the way that your positive approach to life shines through your posts and leaves us with a feeling of contentment. I sense your wonder at life and your enjoyment of all the little changes that occur in your surroundings daily.

What a moon...is this month's moon really called the Hunters' Moon?

Happy days dear friend

I love your little videos! And that moon is awesome. I love looking up at the night skies...and try not to do it while driving! LOL! I also would love your pumpkin soup recipe. Or you could just come cook for me if you like! :)

Very Pretty autumn scenery, Wanda! I love the sights and the smells of autumn... The smell of leaves is everywhere... just love it!
The trunk of that tree is amazing.

also, Wanda... I see a heart framed by the branches in the photo just below this sentence:
Sunrises and Sunsets will no longer be veiled...

It's very subtle ... but for me... voila! a heart!

Enjoy the rest of your week ~ Maria

There is a certain sadness that comes to me as I walk and see that November is truly here. I did so enjoy the fall this year. Your photos are beautiful and capture a peaceful but longing spirit within me. It is a time for comfort food and shorter walks. I think the end of fall represent where I am in life right now. It has been rich.

This Beetle you found is nothing like I could find....I would send the picture to someone who has a website and see if they know. VERY INTERESTING! sorry, I don't know of anyone hehehe.
