My emotions are running wild and I'm finding it...
a little difficult to create a post...
This morning Herhusband and I took flowers to
the cemetery for his parents' grave site.
Today...May 22nd...would have been
his mother's 91st Birthday.
She passed in 1980.
.
.
June 4th marks the 2nd year anniversary of
my own mother's passing at the age of 81...
she passed on the day after...
.
.
my Dad's birth date of June 3rd...
he would have been 89 this year.
He passed in 1980.
June 3rd was their wedding anniversary too.

This is my dad with me...years ago...
.

this is my dad's mom taking a walk with me...
.
Nora
This is my sister Joyce on the left...
her birthday is June 7th...the day on which
our mother had been buried...
making it a bittersweet time for her.
.

Among these dates...
grandson Dylan has a birthday on May 28th...
daughter-in-law Cindy's birthday is June 4th...
granddaughter Alivia's birthday is June 6th...
and grandson Andrew's is June 19th
.
All so close together!
.
That's my reasons for my range of emotions...
So today I will do this small post for our mothers...
on his mother's birthday.
but even with today's beautiful sky...
.

the sadness makes me settle for posting
mostly about flowers and things of nature...
like the blackberry bushes that are really...
.

full of blooms this year...
My mother would forge right to the middle...
even climb a fence to get the largest berries.
.

At a distance they are so similar to the
wild roses that are blooming now too.
.

Just walking down the drive...
.

you can easily smell their sweetness.
.

It is Spring all over...everything is busy...
especially the wrens that built this nest in
the new birdhouse...almost full to the top!
.

I found a Cardinal's nest in the Forsythia...
with 1 egg the first day...
.

and today...2 eggs...one is larger though???...
Cow birds lay their eggs in nests of others...
maybe they don't make good mothers...
I'll keep watching...
.

This is a different variety of Poppy...
blooms slightly later...
.

This is a Japanese Iris started by mother-in-law
over 50 years ago...
.

and a Peony grown by her that I took
from the old home site.
.

This is the bird feeder out front with
a House Finch, Gold Finches, and a Cardinal's
tail just barely showing.
.

These wild flowers come up all over...
don't yet know what they are...
.

and a caterpillar making his way through
a forest of leaves...
.

This is False Indigo Blue...given to me
by my son Steve...just starting to bloom.
.

A flower basket Herhusband and I bought at
Lowe's while a Mocking Bird serenaded us!
.

Pansies by the front steps...in a pot that once
years ago belonged to my mother-in-law.
.
The fawn was resting in the field one day...
.

Herhusband spotted it while mowing...
Walked back to the house to inform me...
.

I was able to get fairly close...
before it ran off...which I regretted causing...
.
but mother and child reunited...
This is a photo that I think represents

.
This is a photo that I think represents
my mother's personality...she was dressed as a
fortune teller at a party for the grandchildren...
and told their fortunes...
a few.....years ago!
.
that just keeps popping up... all over the yard...
