My 10 honest things are:
1. I am definitely a morning person...I "need" to get up before dawn...7 hours of sleep is more than enough for me...I wake up even before the alarm goes off sometimes...get my coffee and read Bernie's blog.
2. I am an optimist who dislikes to even hear negative possibilities or fears spoken...for fear of "attracting" them into my life...but I'm not superstitious...although I do collect 4 leaf clovers...as do my grandchildren.
3. I get very frustrated at least once a day by my petite short frame...everything is always just an inch away or an inch too big....I have step stools here and there....and loads of clothes that just don't fit.
4. I am a descendant of the Indian Princess Pocahontas...11th g'g'parent! My mother who I miss more than I can say...had high cheekbones and black hair.
5. I can't swim...have a fear of "deep" water...would prefer mountains over a beach for a vacation spot...so dislike hot humid places.
6. I am a homebody...would never think of giving up my home to travel the world...even in a luxurious tour bus...but "really" enjoy reading blogs from all over.
7. I only cook one meal a day since my husband retired...that would be lunch, but I love to experiment and try new things while cooking...I use lots of spices and herbs...I do fix a Sunday breakfast though.
8. I am shy and dislike having my photo taken, but yet I was in a beauty contest once...a lifetime ago...don't know how Icould have done that.
9. I am the first born of 3 girls and am a care giver, mediator, and sounding board type...always wanted to please...I am a nester!
10. I'm an active person that doesn't like to sit still....but here I sit blogging away....I find myself drinking more calorie free drinks lately to make up for it...
The friends I have made are worth the time I spend here and have enriched my life greatly. My daughter introduced me to blogging...for which I'm grateful. Blogging came at a time in my life when I no longer babysit my grandchildren everyday.....I might have experienced a delayed empty nest syndrome otherwise...I love all the blogs I visit...each for different reasons.
