Hi Wanda!
You were asking about the roof over the tomatoes - well, we have a fungus here that befalls the tomato plants, when their leaves get wet. The result is tomatoes that can't be eaten. Therefore the roof. If they stay dry, the fungus does not infect them so easily and I can enjoy fresh tomatoes off the "vine".
