Happy St.Patrick's Day...
I know it's not a Leprechaun...but it is...Green!
.
that my daughter Annette made for
a summer reading program at the local library where she works.
There's a lamp shade...
a large trash can with wheels...for mobility
and other strange objects I can't remember...
.
.
under all that paper mache!
.
.
.
She's very talented in many different artistic ways!
She also keeps me supplied with library books!
She also keeps me supplied with library books!
This is us "Several" years ago flying a kite in the field!
.

Four leaf clovers are associated with March 17th...right?
Plus...they're green!
...or at least most are...
This little plastic box contains a few...
found over 25 years ago...they are not green!
For my birthday back in 1999...
Annette gave me a nature journal...

I jotted down notes about the different birds or
animals I saw and the timing of their return each year. .
I kept track of the greening of the field and
flowering of the trees and plants!
Little by little... it became the keeper of
4 leaf clovers the grandchildren...I...and others found.

Remember.....if we hadn't found...picked...and
and saved them...
this bunny would have eaten them!

...in all that green....
...but I doubt it...

because my journal has 58 pages of 4 leaf clovers!

These are...

just...

a few...

Eventually...I had to start another journal...

I like the dragon! Sometimes art work that our children and grandchildren create are so priceless and this dragon says it all.
Hi Wanda,
Happy Saint Patrick's Day. It looks as though you're set with Good Luck for a l-o-n-g time with all those four-leaf clovers! I have a special one pressed by my Mother inside her old locket. Eventually, the locket and the Good Luck it holds will belong to my oldest Grandaughter, Amanda.
Happy Birthday! One of my Grandson's is 6 today.
Wanda, you and your daughter look so much alike! I could not tell who was the mom and who was the daughter. I also loved the four leaf clovers. I remember sitting in the grass for hours looking for four leaf clovers...they are there! Some people are so good at spotting them, I once found 10 in one day...but do not know what became of them. When the weather permits, I am going to go looking, for the luck of the Irish! Happy St. Patricks Day!
Awesome Dragon!
You and your daughter look so much alike, Beautiful!
Love all those 4 leaf clovers.
Your blog brought tears to my eyes today, the dragon, the four leaf clovers, your journals, I loved it all and it brought back so many memories of my own children when they were young. We loved flying kites and looking for four leaf clovers together. I wish you a happy and wonderful St. Patrick's day and I know you will share it with your family, hugs my friend:)
OK who was the Wanda and who was the daughter.. Red or brunette --- :-) Also loved the dragon! And yes she is terribly artistic.....That is superb...And hopefully her teacher was not one of 'those' who said that was not to her liking. I have had a couple of those in my day with my kids and grandkids...& you know I am knocking teachers cause my son is one!!!!! Hope you are having a wonderful day! I'm still not out dragging & raking, but I will be.....just looking at spring springing!!!!!!!! And hopefully this is the beginning of spring, but you know as well as I do....God always has a little joke for us.......
My gosh, we do look alike in the photo! I'm so happy you shared your four leaf clovers with everyone. I was always impressed at how quickly you and Katie would find them. You must have hundreds! Thanks introducing Salem Tenderheart, the library dragon. I was surprised to see him!
xoxo
Hi Wanda, what was happening when you tried to leave a comment? I got them all but if you had a problem let me know , I wonder if the silly template I finally got working messed up commenting? I loved your calender widget and went to the site you got your from (should have asked you)with full intention of picking another but having had a dairy farm in our life till 2001 I fell in love with the same one you did lol. Beautiful photos in your blog, what camera do you use?
hugs, Deb
Wanda: Thank you so much for joining my blog. Welcome aboard! I will join yours as well. Your photographs are beautiful and inspiring. My best friend's mother used to collect four leaf clovers. I just got out the four leaf clover she gave me. Thanks for the inspiration. Amy
