Trees in May are beautiful with the sun shinning
on their light dressing of fresh spring leaves...

it makes the tall graceful trees even more majestic....

After her morning kindergarten class...
Alivia came down...
and that's exactly what we did.

With Alivia in the lead and me following...
on our path of sunshine!

She paused often with her walking stick in hand
to investigate the ground...

Where she found Beech tree seed capsules

and Wild Ginger blossoms

Other times found her looking skyward...
spotting birds...
and this small left over nest from last year.
The wild flowers sometimes caught her eye...
like the Fire Pink she is standing by...

and this "Doll's Eye" flower she was pointing to.

and
she would turn occasionally...
Being at the edge of a steep hill...
it had been overlooked...

Wanda you are building some truly great memories for Alivia. It reminds me of all the special things my grandmother did with me. And I love the part where Alivia would occasionally check to see if you were still there, how sweet!
I love the song on your blog today...Better When We're Together...funny how some songs are so fitting.
Spending time with your grandaughter Alivia, is so precious, what a blessing!
Once again, I don't have words to express the beauty of your walk! What a wonderful Grandma Day! It is so great how you are leading your grandkids into the wonder of natural beauty! Blessings!
Thank you for sharing your walk with your Granddaughter, I felt like I was right there with you. Beautiful!
I want to take a walk with you and Alivia! I love May and early June light - it seems so filtered and forgiving. ANd then it returns in October.
Wanda, I so enjoy your Tuesdays with Alivia blogs. She is so sweet, love the photos and enjoyed spending time with you both. I can almost feel and hear my feet crunch as I walk along the path with you. Have a wonderful day my friend..........:-) Hugs
The acorn doesn't fall very far from the tree, does it? What a darling granddaughter you have! I was wondering if she had a camera in that bag? :)
Hello Wanda,
Alivia looks like some exotic wildflower herself in her pretty pink dress. It's wonderful that she also sees shapes in the trees. She seems to know to look up, down, and all around...just like Grandma. I'll soon be with my Grandchildren - they'll be meeting us in Aspen this weekend. Your photographs are beautiful.
This is precious.
Ladybugs bring good luck too. We love them both!
